New Castle County Resident Holds Alleged Burglar For Police
NEWARK, Del. (AP) -- Newark police say a resident interrupted a burglary and held a suspect until police arrived.
It happened Sunday about 1:20 a.m. on East Cleveland Avenue. Police say the resident saw the suspect leaving the second floor of the home carrying a backpack that belongs to the resident's roommate.
The resident confronted the suspect and found that the backpack held electronics that also belong to the roommate.
The resident detained the suspect until police arrived.
Twenty-one-year-old Timothy Edling of Landsdale, Pa., is charged with burglary and theft. He's being held on $4,000 secured bond.
