Neshaminy Teacher Strike Ends, School To Resume Wednesday
NESHAMINY, Pa. (CBS) – The Neshaminy Federation of Teachers announced the termination of its strike on Monday morning after a hearing in Bucks County court.
The Neshaminy Federation of Teachers (NFT) reportedly decided to terminate the strike immediately at about 11 a.m., but the district's attorney, Charles Sweet, said that school would not begin again until Wednesday.
"In an effort to demonstrate to Judge Baldi and the students of Neshaminy that we are ready, willing and able to do whatever it takes to get back to the bargaining table, we ended the strike immediately in order to be back in our classrooms first thing tomorrow morning," said NFT President Louise Boyd.
The NFT is slated to attend the scheduled negotiating session at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
There is another scheduled court hearing on June 25th.
