Nearly $2 Million Spent On Recreational Marijuana First Day It Was Legal In New Jersey
TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) -- New Jersey's newest cash crop is bringing in a lot of green in the Garden State. State officials say more than 12,000 people spent almost $2 million on cannabis products last Thursday.
That was the first day recreational marijuana was allowed in the state.
We've seen long lines outside dispensaries where people are now allowed to buy up to one ounce of marijuana at a time.
