Rain Rain Go Away, Come Back Another May

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - If you're beginning to think it's monsoon season instead of spring, you're not alone.

Another soggy day Monday -- the grass needs to be cut and maybe you'd love to do some trimming, but the yard is a swamp.

Get used to it.

Meteorologist Greg Heavener of the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, NJ says we'll be stuck in this pattern thru the beginning of June. And even tho we've had 10-days in a row of measurable rainfall, the month's numbers aren't terrible.

"Over into New Jersey, some areas are about an inch above Philly area, kind of teetering about average actually, we're at about 2 1/2 inches for May at this time.right now we're at 2 inches.

He admits it has been a cool wet year so far and this pattern could continue thru the summer.
