Naked Man Armed With Knife Barricades Himself Inside Philadelphia Apartment
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia police say a man in his 50s, armed with a knife, refused to come out of an apartment in East Oak Lane Sunday.
According to police, the man was naked and off his medication. He refused to surrender to police near 66th Avenue and North 12th Street, but police say the man is now in custody.
The barricade began around 3:30 p.m.
There were no injuries to police or the man -- who was taken to Einstein Hospital by police.
There was significant police presence in the area throughout much of the afternoon and early evening.
