Naked Bicyclists Ride Through the Streets of Philadelphia
With cyclists wearing few clothes to no clothes, yesterday's second annual Philadelphia Naked Bike Ride provided quite an eye-opener from Fairmount Park to Rittenhouse Square, Old City to Northern Liberties.
KYW's Kim Glovas reported fully dressed, from the starting point in Lemon Hill.
Will is one of the organizers in charge of body painting, and he answered the question, 'What is this all about?'
"It's mostly about like controlling fuel consumption, bicycles are an actual means of transportation and loving your body because nudity is good."
He says there are a lot more naked people this year than last.
"Last year the count was around 630, possibly a 1,000 by the end of it, 'cause you can't really tell, that's pretty awesome, this year we're hoping for 2,000."
As for being arrested for public nudity, Will says in order for it be lewd it has to be lewd.
