Mwanga, Union Host San Jose Saturday
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Philadelphia Union will be home this weekend as they welcome the San Jose Earthquakes to Chester on Saturday afternoon.
Union 3-1-1 this season, but they haven't played since a 1-1 draw with Seattle back on April 16th.
Union have been getting it done with defense so far, they've allowed just two goals in five matches. On the attack, Union have scored just four goals this season. Second-year forward Danny Mwanga has yet to find the back of the net, but he does have an assist in the early going.
The #1 pick in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft talks about his second year as a pro.
"I mean obviously after playing a year in the league, I got some experience and learned so many things. So, right now I'm trying to build on what I learned last year. It's going to still be challenging, because people obviously saw what you did last year and they know (how) you're capable of playing. Just trying to improve on my game and getting better and better."

Last season the Union didn't win their third game until the end of June. The 19-year-old Mwanga talks about what's different here in 2011.
"We brought in so many new players, I think they are doing a very good job. Defense is doing a really good job. And then offensively, adding Carlos Ruiz, and he is doing well as well. But, I think we are trying to be more consistent. I think last year we were pretty inconsistent in our play, but I think this year we are trying our best to be consistent."
Mwanga had 7 goals and 4 assists last season as a rookie. He talks about the keys to success against the Earthquakes.
"We just got to come in, we're playing at home, take advantage of the fans behind us and finish our chances early. And then just try to stay disciplined and focused for the whole 90 minutes."
San Jose comes into Saturday's game with a 1-3-2 mark.
