Murder Charges Filed Against Cherry Hill Man In Infant's Death
CHERRY HILL, N.J. (AP) — Murder charges have been filed against a southern New Jersey man accused in the trauma death of his infant daughter.
Bail was set Wednesday at $500,000 for 31-year-old Richard Randazzo of Cherry Hill.
Camden County prosecutors say the 11-week-old girl suffered multiple injuries allegedly caused by Randazzo, including the brain injuries that killed her. The child had multiple broken bones and also suffered several subdural hematomas on her brain and hematomas behind both eyes.
Randazzo told investigators he dropped the child while on the stairs and then slipped and fell on top of her.
But authorities say that would not have caused the injuries the child suffered. They also say the girl's mother was at work when the injuries were inflicted.
It's not known if Randazzo has retained a lawyer.
