PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Mural Arts Program has revealed its plans for the 2015 tour season, and today unveiled a new office space in center city.
"It's not only a new home but it's a new chapter of collaboration with the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts," noted Joan Reilly, chief operation officer of Mural Arts.
Reilly (in center of photo) says she is jubilant about the program's new home and its neighbor on North Broad Street.
"I think it was many years in the making. Many of our muralists are graduates of PAFA, so we've always had a close relationship and fondness for this great institution," she said.
Reilly helped cut a ceremonial ribbon and announced the launch of a new season that will feature a number of new offerings.
"Masterpiece tour, east and west. W e're also going to be having Segway tours through Northern Liberties, specialty tours held every second Sunday of the month with visiting curators, and surprise guests to lead those tours," she said.
Coming up this Saturday: a preview of a scavenger hunt, in which tourists are sent searching for murals throughout the city.
