Mourners Asked To Wear Pink At Reading Girl's Viewing
READING, Pa. (AP) — Mourners are being asked to wear bright colors — especially pink — in memory of a Pennsylvania girl who was serenaded by thousands just days before dying of illness.
The viewing for Delaney Brown will be held Sunday afternoon in West Reading (RED'-ing). The public is invited to the Kuhn Funeral Home from 2 to 6 p.m.
The 8-year-old girl known as Laney died early Christmas morning from a rare form of leukemia (see related story).
One of her last wishes had been for a huge holiday singalong. Thousands of supporters appeared outside her family's home on Dec. 21 to sing numerous Christmas carols (see realted story).
To honor Laney's "fashionista style," family members have asked mourners to "dress to impress."
