Mother, Son Nabbed In Atlantic City For Las Vegas Murder
ATLANTIC CITY (CBS) -- A mother and son suspected of murder in Las Vegas were nabbed in Atlantic City after another patron recognized their faces from a TV show.
Forty-three-year-old Michelle Costello and her 19-year-old son Peter are suspected of killing Michelle's husband Bert English.
New Jersey state police sergeant Steven Jones says they were spotted by a Resorts casino patron who previously saw the pair on TV as wanted and told security, "there are a couple of murderers out on the casino floor."
"The patron was really well aware of the people around him, able to recall that image that they had seen. And in combination with state troopers down there, make an arrest of some very dangerous people."
Mother and son are being held separately in an Atlantic County jail, awaiting extradition to Las Vegas.
