More Philadelphia Tire Slashings, This Time In Nicetown-Tioga
By Al Novack
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are investigating at least 19 overnight tire slashing incidents in the Nicetown-Tioga section of North Philadelphia.
Despite at least three arrests since late last month in connection with two strings of slashing incidents (see related story) (another related story), dozens of similar incidents remain unsolved and others continue to take place (see related story).
Just before 7 a.m. Wednesday, reports began slowly filtering in to police that tires had been slashed in the 1900 block of West Hunting Park Avenue, the 3900 block of Alfred Street, the 1900 block of Ruffner Street, the 1900 block of Priscilla Street, and the 1900 block of Acoma Street.
Police had no immediate suspects and are hoping there might be some surveillance cameras in the area. Their investigation continues.
