Montgomery County Woman Charged In Husband's Stabbing Death
CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- A Montgomery County woman has been charged in the deadly stabbing of her husband and investigators say she admitted to the crime.
On November 22nd, at about 11:35 p.m., officers with the Cheltenham Township Police Department responded to 7414 Overhill Road for a reported disturbance.
When officers arrived on scene, they located 48-year-old Darryl Baker in a second floor bedroom suffering from a stab wound to his chest.
Baker was gasping for air and was unable to communicate with police. When officers asked Baker's wife, Ny Baker, what happened, investigators say she said "I stabbed him, I stabbed him."
Baker was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he later died.
Investigators say a 7-inch blood-stained knife was found at the scene.
An autopsy confirmed that Baker died as a result of a stab wound to the chest. His manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Ny Baker was arraigned and is being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. She had a preliminary hearing Thursday.
