Montgomery County Man Accused Of Stabbing Mother To Death On Halloween
LANSDALE, Pa. (CBS) – It's a chilling case fit for Halloween: A Montgomery County man is accused of murdering his mother on the holiday.
Warren H. Pennick, a 54-year-old from Lansdale, was arrested after walking into the Lansdale Police Station on Oct. 31 and confessing to the crime.
When police went to his house on Salford Avenue, they found 79-year-old Lorraine Pennick at the bottom of the basement stairs in a pool of blood with a 7-inch knife in her torso. She had suffered multiple stab wounds to her body and had a slash wound to her throat.
Warren H. Pennick is now facing charges of First Degree Murder, Third Degree Murder and Possession of Instrument of Crime for the gruesome crime. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 8, 2012.
