Montgomery County Elementary School Locked Down After Report Of Person With Weapon
FRANCONIA TWP., Pa. (CBS) – Police are investigating a report of a man with a weapon near an elementary school in Montgomery County.
The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the West Broad Street Elementary School in Franconia Township.
According to police, while children were outside for recess, one child said he saw a man with a mask and possibly a weapon.
Authorities report that teacher immediately took the children inside and called police.
West Broad Street Elementary School was locked down as a precaution while police, K-9 units and SWAT began a search of the area and woods.
At 3:30 p.m. the lockdown ended and police declared the incident unfounded.
