Money Lessons Get (Eagles') Team Approach At Upper Darby H.S.

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) -- Students at Upper Darby High School today got an Eagle-powered lesson in personal finance.
"Thirty, 35, 40. All right, Eagles, your ball on the 40," said Nat Sillin of Visa, the event sponsor, with play-by-play of the game Financial Football 2.0 as it was projected on a big screen.
Eagles' tight end Brent Celek coached the "Eagles" side of the room, and Pennsylvania state treasurer Rob McCord the "Cowboys," as both teams of students were tested with questions about the world of money.
"Single-use, one-time passwords used to protect online banking transactions are called what?
1) PINs
2) PSNs
3) TANs, or
4) Passwords?"
A right answer moves the ball for the offense. Wrong, and the defense may get things going their way.
Celek says this is the kind of information he wishes he'd had when he was younger.
"You've got to teach kinds financial responsibility and saving money at an early age," he said today. Uncharacteristically, Celek led these Eagles to defeat.
Financial Football, already available at middle and high schools across the state and online for free for various devices, is now being put in libraries as well -- although it could be a bit noisy.
