MLS Playoffs: Fans Pack Local Pubs To Cheer On Philadelphia Union
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Union have their backs against the wall in their playoff series and die-hard fans gathered at local pubs to watch their team duke it out in Texas.
Dozens of fans were swagged out in gold and blue at Fado Irish Pub located at 15th and Locust Street in Center City. The gear- was all thanks to Amy and the rest of Major Molly's Army, the Union's team reps and designated pump squad.
"We're going to give away a lot of things. We have three raffles going on for some autographed jerseys and a signed rally towel. And I think we're going to pumped them up even more."
And the fans seem to love it- and are hopeful that the Union will get the upper hand on the Dynamo:
"The Union's going to win 3-1," says one fan.
"Doop! Doopin for the Cup," yells another fan.
"Come on the U," says his friend. "That's all there is to it tonight!"
And they have their fingers crossed that the U comes through.
