Mixed Reaction From Eagles Fans Over Trade With Browns
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Eagles have traded away five draft picks to move up to the second overall spot in this year's NFL draft.
Now, Fans across the city are talking about the controversial move.
To many knowledgeable sports fans it looks like Eagles traded up so they can get a quarterback.
Some Bird's faithful love the move.
"You've got to have that franchise quarterback. To make the move, if their really all in on him, I'm for it. You have to back the guy and see what happens."
Other fans hate it.
"I'm upset with the trade. We lost our first-round pick next year and our second-round pick the year after, or something like that."
But just about everyone says if the Eagles make the wrong bet, it's going to be a lot of tough many years ahead for the franchise.
"It's going to be tough for the Eagles with losing all those draft picks in the next two, three years, but you have the potential to pick the next great NFL player.
The last time the Eagles picked second in the draft, they took quarterback Donovan McNabb -- and he took the birds to a Super Bowl.
