Mitchell & Ness Unveils Top-Selling Throwback Jerseys By State

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Philadelphia-based sports apparel company has released a state by state list of most popular throwback jerseys.
KYW's Paul Kurtz has the breakdown.
The name Cunningham (as in Randall, the former Eagles great) is worn on more backs than any throwback jersey in Pennsylvania. That's the upshot of an online survey conducted by the king of throwbacks Mitchell & Ness.
"Every year it sells out so Randall is not a surprise at all."
Zaid Hamad is General Manager of Mitchell & Ness' Center City flagship store.
"Everybody buys Cunningham. There's no age range. I've seen customers from 8-80."
Some fans have other favorites.
"What about Dan Marino and Joe Montana. They're from Pennsylvania."
A Joe Namath Jets jersey is New Jersey's most popular and in Delaware its Kobe Bryant. In fact Bryant's jersey is the top seller in five other states.
Finally, here's a head scratcher. A Steve Carlton Phillies from 1976 jersey is number one in the state of Kansas.
"Kansas? That's strange. I didn't know that. He doesn't even live there."
