Phillies Wall Of Fame Honoree John Kruk On Hand For Legends Luncheon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies held their annual Legends Luncheon Thursday afternoon, ahead of alumni weekend. As part of the festivities, former first baseman John Kruk will be inducted into the Wall of Fame.
Kruk appeared with ex-teammate Mitch Williams at Thursdays and the two were like baseball's version of Abbot and Costello.

The Phillies gave a preview of Alumni Weekend today with their annual legends luncheon at Citizens Bank Park.
More than 250 fans, age 55 and over turned out to hear from a select group of Phillies who threw no-hitters, including Rick Wise, Tommy Greene and Jim Bunning, who, along with Tony Taylor talked about that star-crossed 1964 team.
But John Kruk and Mitch Williams stole the show with an improv comedy routine that began when Kruk was asked how he felt about being inducted into the Phillies Wall of Fame.
"The greatest third baseman to ever play, the greatest lefthanded pitcher to ever play and a fat guy that played first who doesn't belong. I mean really," said Kruk.
They were just getting warmed up.
"I knew every hitter's nitro zone. And Joe Carter was one of the very rare down and in right handed hitters. Then why'd you throw it there."
The fat guy who played first base will join Schmidt, Carlton and the others on the wall on Friday night.
