Military Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing Near NJ School
MEDFORD, NJ (CBS) – A military helicopter made an emergency landing near a South Jersey school.
The Chinook helicopter with U.S. military decals landed in the ball fields near Chairville Elementary School in Medford around 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
The USMC Chinook from Joint Base Maguire was heading to Quantico, Va. when it experienced a technical issue and was forced to land.
Chairville Elementary School was chosen based on availability and space.

No injuries have been reported.
The chopper is expected to be repaired and back in the air by 6 p.m.
Officials say children were present inside the school at the time, but there is no cause for concern.
Fire crews did respond to the scene.
