Michael Vick's Poorly Timed Release Of His V7 App

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – If they are remembered for nothing else, this Eagles team should go down in history as the very least self-aware in NFL history.
From Jason Babin's sale of t-shirts and yoga pants, and sensitivity to fan jeers, to Trent Cole's claim that despite the lack of sacks and pressure, the defensive line is the best in the league, to Riley Cooper's decision to call fans names on Twitter, it just seems like these guys have absolutely no idea what their actions look like to the rest of us.
The day after the Eagles lost their seventh straight game to a 3-8 Panthers team, and Michael Vick missed his second consecutive game with a concussion, Vick's team sent out a press release announcing the new "V7" app for iPhone and Android. Vick's Twitter account also retweeted many fans complimenting him on the app.
The release, sent by Kerry Handschuh a PR account executive for Two Affix, LLC., says the app is the "first ever- professional athlete fan based mobile application," which seems hard to believe.
"We are proud to break ground in the mobile fan based arena with Michael. Understandably there is a great deal of concern surrounding him – this app will allow fans to get up close & personal with Vick during this time of rising from adversity once again. Fans will no longer need to speculate but be able to see, hear and read from Vick himself on their mobile device on what goes on in his world." said Christine Krzyzanowski, CMO/Senior Partner at Two Affix via press release.
Though it says fans will no longer need to speculate, I'd like to know who green-lighted the release of the app today. Perhaps Vick will answer that question today.
But wait, there's more! "Within the V7 mobile app will be an option for fans to be part of the V7 fan club for "premium content" at $1.99/monthly subscription or a yearly price for $19.99," the release says.
I searched the Google Play store on my Android device for the V7 app, and the search produced no results, similar to the Eagles play this year.
