The unemployment rate is hovering around 9% in the tri-state area, with many people searching for jobs.
But many don't have the money to explore their career options, or even buy a professional outfit to wear for interviews.
One organization, Menzfit, is trying to help, and Rhonda Willingham (or Menzfit) and Donna Bartynski (of the Residences at Dockside), spoke to Talk Philly about an event that Menzfit is having.

4TH ANNUAL MENZFIT FUNDRAISER TONIGHT AT THE RESIDENCES AT DOCKSIDE
Celebrity fashion show featuring leading men in film and the media will take to the runway in high end fashion tonight at The Residences at Dockside to benefit MenzFit.
WHAT: TONIGHT (Thursday, September 15) local celebrities from film and media along with actors from the new movie "Rélasumé (The Relationship Résumé)" (currently being filmed in Philadelphia) will come together for a fall fashion show and silent auction at The Residences at Dockside. It's part of MenzFit's 4th annual fundraiser to raise money for their career development and interview preparation program in Philadelphia.
In the midst of unemployment and underemployment plaguing Philadelphia, MenzFit helps to aid the local economy and job market by putting confident and competent applicants together with employers and providing professional interview clothing and career development services to men who are reentering the workplace. Of more than 3,000 men who are working to improve their lives with MenzFit, 60 percent remain employed and successfully compete for jobs.
Tonight, MenzFit's "models" will be showcasing high end fashion provided by Brooks Brothers. The rest of the evening will be filled with complimentary hors d'oeuvres, specialty drinks and a silent auction.
