Medford Man Charged With Luring Teen For Sex
MEDFORD, NJ (CBS) – An illicit relationship that allegedly began on Facebook ended with the arrest of a 21-year-old South Jersey man.
Police say Edward Gajderowicz, of Medford, began an online relationship with a 14-year-old girl on Facebook in December of 2012, then contacted her again via an online game called Ruzzle.
During the second contact, police say Gajderowicz gave the girl his cell phone number and asked her to call him. When she did, he sent her images of himself and asked the teen to meet with him.
The conversation reportedly continued over several days and culminated with Gajderowicz requesting sexually explicit photos of the juvenile and arranging to meet with her for sex.
Unbeknownst to the suspect, the teen had told her mother when he contacted her via Ruzzle, and when Gajderowicz arrived to meet the juvenile, he was taken into police custody.
A search warrant executed at Gajderowicz's home turned up marijuana, and he was charged with Luring a Child, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor and Possession of Marijuana. He is currently being held at Burlington County Jail in lieu of $125,000 full bail.
