Meat Label Changes Considered By The FDA

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Food and Drug Administration announced that it is considering whether to go with a plan to change how meat is labeled.

According to KDKA, if the regulation is approved, the labels on the meat you buy at the grocery store will show where it was raised and slaughtered.

Currently, shellfish, fish, fruit and vegetable labels must show the country of origin.
