Mayor Nutter Hosts Pro-Obama Rally Ahead Of Pa. Primary
By Dan Wing
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On the night before Pennsylvania's primary, Philadelphia mayor Michael Nutter was joined by a number of local leaders and Delaware attorney general Beau Biden for a pro-Obama rally, and to encourage Philadelphians to get out and vote.
Mayor Nutter had a lot of praise for the Obama administration for federal assistance given to the city, and took major issue with the state's new voter ID law.
"We're going to deal with this voter id insanity. Next thing you know, folks will be trying to bring back a reading test, a poll tax, and everything else. They're trying to bombard us back into the 1940s and '50s with some of this nonsense."
Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden spent his time focused on the Republican Candidates, namely Mitt Romney, saying he's the wrong man for the job.
"Mitt Romney has an economic policy that would make Ronald Reagan look like a progressive. He has a foreign policy that is kind of stuck in the Cold War that just simply doesn't get the world that we live in."
