By Tim Jimenez and Elizabeth Hur
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Residents in Mayfair joined community watch groups and police officials to discuss the aftermath of the arrest of alleged tire slasher David Toledo.
Dozens of residents from Mayfair and nearby neighborhoods were on hand at St. Bernard's on Aldine Street, expressing their concerns and asking police officials questions about the aftermath of the arrest of David Toledo.
"The thing was about keeping people from retaliating."
Karen Woldsmit says she's a next door neighbor of the Toledo's.
"His wife being a victim. I talked about the fact that they're not coming back to the neighborhood."
Police officials were once again stressing calm from frustrated victims who had questions about restitution that 15th District Police Captain Frank Bachmayer tried to answer.
"We're in the early stages of this and the DA's office is committed to ensuring they get as much restitution as members of the community can get."
Local town watch groups were also there to ease concerns and distance themselves from Toledo, who they call a self-proclaimed block watch member.
