Many Area Supporters Attend Beck Rally
Local Tea Party members helped organize a 28 bus convoy to DC for the 'Restoring Honor' rally.
KYW'S Mike Dougherty spoke to Don Adams with the Independence Hall Tea Party association. He says phones at his office were ringing off the hook with people who wanted a ride to the rally:
"I actually think it was larger than the Tea Party itself. 1,500 people joined us, just our association alone, from the region. I think people are connecting with the idea of restoring character and restoring honor in our nation."
He says hundreds of thousands of people attended because they are passionate about Glenn Beck's conservative ideals, and they believe religion and family are the foundation to national prosperity.
