Manatee Makes An Appearance In Delaware River
BORDENTOWN, NJ (CBS) -- It's probably not something one would expect to see in the Delaware River, but officials say a manatee was spotted in the river near Bordentown, New Jersey.
New Jersey Fish and Wildlife shared the photo of the manatee, which was last seen Tuesday night near the I-295 bridge and Crosswicks Creek.
Manatees, which are also referred to ask "sea cows," usually call Florida's coastal waters home, but officials say warm water and a food source probably brought the manatee up here.
