Man Tries To Steal Police Cruiser In Center City
PHILADELPHIA (CBS3) - A man was arrested for trying to steal a police cruiser in Center City Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened shortly after 5 p.m. at 12th and Market Streets.
According to investigators, the incident began when a Philadelphia police officer pulled over a taxi cab.
As the officer was talking to the cab driver, an unidentified suspect jumped into the police cruiser and attempted to drive away.
The suspect did not get very far as he ended up crashing into the taxi cab.
The suspect was taken into custody. The incident remains under police investigation.
