TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) -- Train service on NJ Transit's River LINE has been restored after a man was struck and killed during the evening commute.
New Jersey Transit spokesperson John Durso Junior says the man was killed Tuesday evening:
"At approximately 6:07 PM the Southbound Riverline light rail vehicle struck and fatally injured an adult male trespasser north of the Florence Station in Burlington County."
The man's identity is being withheld pending family notification. Durso says passengers present during the accident were transferred:
"Busses were called in to transport customers between the Florence and the Roebling light rail stations."
The rails were cleared within just over two hours.
