Man Struck And Killed In Philadelphia Subway Tracks
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities in Philadelphia say a man has been struck and killed by a subway train.
Officials with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority say the man was in the track area of the Susquehanna-Dauphin station of the main north-south Broad Street Line when he was hit by a train coming into the station just after 7 a.m. Sunday.
SEPTA spokeswoman Jerri Williams says the man had apparently gone down onto the tracks to retrieve an object of some kind.
