Man Sought In Exposing Incidents In South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for a man who is accused of exposing himself to several women over a 30 minute span.
"I was really crouched over, doing my puzzle, and he was right about here," described 65-year-old Faye Deckter.
Deckter is one of four women who reported that a man exposed himself to her on Monday morning to Philadelphia police.
"He made some sort of a grunt to get my attention, and there it was in my face," said Deckter.
That happened around 9:25 a.m. in the 1800 block of 9th Street. But earlier that morning in the same area, police say the suspect exposed himself to three other women, ages 22, 27 and 67.
In the initial incident, a 22-year-old female told police she was walking on S. 2nd Street when an unknown male approached her from behind and indecently assaulted her. The suspect then jumped into a small black vehicle and drove away.
In the next three incidents—including the one involving Deckter—police say the suspect exposed his genitals. In one of the incidents, the suspect indecently assaulted one of his victims and attempted to engage in a conversation with two other victims before committing the lewd act.
The victims described the suspect as a Latino male, 5'5" to 5'9" tall, mid to late 20's, with dark-colored hair, and wearing dark clothing.
"We're looking for a Latino male about 5'5" to 5'7"," said Lt. Ray Evers. "He's mid to late 20s. He's wearing dark clothing. There may be a small dark car involved, because those neighborhoods are about a mile and a half apart."
News of what happened in South Philadelphia is spreading fast. Neighbors aren't afraid to share how they feel about the alleged criminal.
"A pervert, what else is he? A sicko," said one woman.
As for victim Faye Deckter, she hopes police catch the suspect before he does more than expose himself.
"He didn't put any hands on me, but if he's touched women and exposed himself, we don't know where that could go to," said Deckter.
