Man Left In Critical Condition After Shooting In Kensington
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating after a man is shot multiple times crossing the street on his bike in the Kensington section of the city.
The incident took place about 4:00 p.m. Sunday on the 1300 block of E. Atlantic Avenue near Kensington Avenue.
Authorities say the victim is a 21-year-old male who was leaving the grocery store, and while he was riding his bike across the street when he was shot several time through the body.
"For you to let off shots in front of the kids, you don't have respect for yourself, nor for the kids," said Tylesha Cabe, mother of one of the children playing in the pool. "What if a kid's life was lost due to some stupidity."

The shooting took place just feet away from where police say three children had been playing in a pool on the side walk.
"These poor children were trying to have a nice time on a summer afternoon in the pool, and within four feet of them there's a male being shot," Philadelphia Police Captain George Fuchs said. "Thank god none of the children were struck."
The man was been transported in critical condition to Temple University Hospital.
Police have not recovered a weapon, and no arrests have been made.
