Man Shot In Head During South Philadelphia Home Invasion
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia man is hospitalized after being shot in the head during a home invasion early Friday morning.
The incident happened shortly after midnight inside a home in the 1400 block of Montrose Street in South Philadelphia.
According to investigators, the homeowner was shot in the head in his own bedroom during the home invasion.
Police say the victim ran out of the house and collapsed at a nearby McDonald's. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Officials say the victim is expected to survive.
So far, no arrests have been made. The incident remains under police investigation.
