Man Shot, Child Injured in Shooting Aboard Rt. 13 Trolley
An argument resulted in gunshots aboard a Septa Route 13 subway-surface trolley in southwest Philadelphia's Kingsessing section.
KYW's Al Novack reports that one man was shot and a child was trampled as riders fled to safety at around 8:30 on Sunday night near 57th and Chester.
One of the two men involved in the argument pulled out a gun and shot the other man in the groin and then fled. Passengers also fled to safety but as they did, an unidentified three-year-old fell and was trampled by exiting passengers. She was taken to Children's Hospital, where she was treated and released.
The wounded man was taken to the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was listed in stable condition. Police had no suspects and were investigating.
