Police Identify Man Shot And Killed In North Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A man was shot and killed in broad daylight in North Philadelphia on Saturday morning.
The 53-year-old victim, identified as Joel Blumer of Holland, Pennsylvania, was reportedly opening up a check cashing business at 26th & Sterner Street around 9 a.m., when he was shot two times in the neck. He was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital at 9:18 a.m.
Police believe robbery may have been the motive since an undisclosed amount of money was reportedly taken. No one has been arrested for the crime and an investigation is underway.
