Man Shot 7 Times In Ambush Outside Upper Darby Home

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) – A man is in critical condition after being shot several times during an ambush outside his Delaware County home early Wednesday morning.
The ambush happened at about 12:30 a.m. in the 7500 block of Parkview Road in Upper Darby.
According to investigators, the victim was returning home when he was confronted by two armed suspects in his driveway.
Almost immediately after encountering the victim, the suspects opened fire and shot him at least seven times.
The suspects then fled the scene in a dark-colored car. It was not immediately known if the suspects stole anything from the victim.
The victim was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is listed in critical condition.
The victim's girlfriend and four-year-old daughter were asleep inside the home when the shooting happened, but they were uninjured.
The motive in the shooting remains unclear. The suspects remain on the loose.
