The 26-year-old victim reportedly told officers he was in the parking lot to settle a dispute with someone, when that person opened fire, shooting the victim in the chest, arm and leg while he was in the passenger seat of a car.
Police say the victim's brother, who was driving the vehicle, took him to Holy Redeemer Hospital. He is in guarded condition and is expected to survive.
Police say the incident, which was caught on surveillance, could have been much worse all things considered.
"When the shooting took place, the Wal-Mart was open for business," says Chief Inspector Scott Small. "There were cars in the parking lot -- not many -- but there were customer cars in the parking lot. There were several customers in the Wal-Mart. There was about 20 employees in the Wal-Mart, so we're very fortunate that there was no one else injured and no one was struck by stray gunfire."

Police say they found the shell casing and glass from the car window.
As the search for the suspect continues, police say they have a good idea who they are looking for.
