Man Dies After Car Accident Along Roosevelt Boulevard
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A 25-year-old man has died as a result of injuries he sustained from a car accident in the city's Logan section on Sunday evening.
The accident happened around 7:oo p.m. in the southbound lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard, near 9th Street.
When emergency personnel arrived on scene, they found the victim trapped inside his overturned vehicle. It took crews about ten minutes to free the man. He was then transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police were not sure what caused the car to overturn.
The outer lanes of southbound Roosevelt Boulevard were closed for about an hour at 9th Street before being reopened.
The name of the victim was not immediately available.
