Man Killed, Family Tied Up During North Philadelphia Home Invasion

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police are searching for a group of suspects who shot and killed a man during a home invasion and robbery in North Philadelphia late Wednesday evening.
The incident happened at about 11 p.m. inside a home in the 2800 block of North 9th Street in the city's Fairhill section.
According to authorities, three to five masked gunmen broke into the home.
During the invasion, the suspects tied up five people, all members of one family, including four adults and a six-year-old girl. The suspects entered a bedroom and shot a 36-year-old man in the head who later died. Police say the victim's 22-year-old brother suffered injuries to his head and face.
The suspects ransacked the home and took assorted items, including a sizable amount of cash.
Detectives are expected to release additional information as their investigation progresses. Names of the victims have not been released.
