Police: Driver Shot 8 Times, Slams Into Home In South Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A 29-year-old man was rushed to an area hospital after being shot multiple times while he was driving in South Philadelphia Thursday evening, according to authorities.
It happened in the 2200 block of Snyder Avenue a little before 9 p.m. The man was reportedly shot eight times before slamming into a row home.
He was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in critical condition. The home was damaged, but no one inside was injured, according to authorities.
There is no word on a motive, but police say four or five suspects were seen fleeing the area after the shooting.
Police are are investigating.
