Man In Critical Condition After Being Shot Outside Mt. Airy Bar
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A man is in critical condition after being shot outside a Philadelphia bar early Friday morning.
The shooting happened at about 2 a.m. outside a bar at Stenton and Mt. Pleasant Avenues in the city's Mt. Airy section.
According to investigators, the victim was inside the bar and needed to get more money. The bar's manager walked outside with the victim to get additional money from his car.
As the two walked outside, three males wearing hoodies approached the pair and began shooting.
The manager and a security guard at the bar returned fire at the suspects, chasing them away.
The victim was struck several times and was rushed to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition. The manager and security guard were not injured.
Police continue their search for the suspects. The shooting remains under police investigation.
