Man Gunned Down Inside South Philadelphia Corner Store

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for two suspects who shot and killed a man inside a corner store early Friday morning.

The shooting happened shortly after midnight near 18th and Sigel Streets in South Philadelphia.

According to police, a 20-year-old male was inside a corner store when he was approached by two unidentified suspects. Police say the suspects shot the victim once in the forehead. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, but he was later pronounced dead.

The suspects fled the scene after the deadly shooting. Investigators say robbery doesn't appear to be a motive because the victim was still holding money.

So far, police have not made any arrests.

The deadly shooting remains under police investigation.
