Man Dies After Being Shot On Delaware Basketball Court
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS/AP) -- Authorities say a 23-year-old man has died after being shot repeatedly on a basketball court in Wilmington.
Police say the man was shot on a court on North Jackson Street under Interstate 95 about 6 p.m. Monday.
The man was shot several times in his the torso and arm. He was pronounced dead hours later at Christiana Hospital, where he had undergone surgery.
A preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim was playing basketball when he was confronted by an unknown suspect who began shooting at him.
