Man Convicted On All Counts In Atlantic City Casino Parking Lot Robbery
MAYS LANDING, N.J. (AP) — One of two southern New Jersey men accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint in an Atlantic City casino parking garage three years ago has been convicted on all counts.
Twenty-three-year-old Dashand Chase of Camden will face up to 60 years in prison when he's sentenced Oct. 26.
An Atlantic County jury recently found Chase guilty of first-degree armed robbery and several counts of witness tampering. But jurors couldn't reach a verdict on charges against his co-defendant, 27-year-old Tony Burnham of Camden.
The charges stem from an August 2009 robbery in the Bally's Atlantic City parking garage.
Prosecutors say one of the assailants pointed a gun at the woman's face while the other punched her in the mouth; they stole several items before fleeing in a vehicle.
