Man Charged in Two 7-Eleven Robberies, Eyed For Several Others

COLLINGSWOOD, N.J. (CBS) -- Authorities in South Jersey have charged a 31-year-old Collingswood man in a pair of armed robberies earlier this month at local 7-Eleven convenience stores.
He is also suspected in several other incidents, including a robbery in January in Pennsauken in which a store clerk was shot and paralyzed (see related story).
Authorities caught up with Charles Walls after looking for the alleged getaway car through records of state registrations and traffic violations.
Found in his home was a gun believed to have been used in up to nine incidents in Camden, Burlington, and Mercer counties (see previous story).
Camden County prosecutor Warren Faulk (photo below) says the robberies netted cash and cartons of cigarettes.

"What's a carton of cigarettes cost -- sixty, seventy, eighty dollars? And if you can take trash bags and load in multiple cartons of Marlboro and Newport cigarettes and even sell them for half price, that's a good bit of cash in your pocket," Faulk notes.
Tests are being conducted on the recovered gun, and the search is on for one or perhaps two alleged cohorts.
But, Faulk says, Walls was the man in charge of the robbery ring.
