Man Beaten To Death With Baseball Bat In Wissinoming
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A man was beaten to death with a baseball bat in the city's Wissinoming section overnight.
Police say they responded to a call for a "person screaming and being assaulted with a stick or bat" shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 5900 block of Charles Street.
Officers arrived on scene and found a 31-year-old man slumped over in the driver's seat of blue Hyundai Tiburon. Authorities say his head was battered and bleeding.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are searching for four men who witnesses say fled the scene in a black car with tinted windows, possibly a Ford Crown Victoria.
