Man Arrested In Fatal Stabbing In Maple Shade
MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (CBS) -- Police have made an arrest in the fatal stabbing of a man in Burlington County, New Jersey Saturday night.
Authorities say 44-year-old Mark Brooks was stabbed to death outside of his home along the 100 block of South Maple Avenue in Maple Shade.
Police were alerted around 10:30 p.m. Saturday by someone who arrived at the house and found Brooks outside on the ground.
An investigation determined that 38-year-old John Borger IV went to Brooks' home armed with a knife, confronted him outside of the residence, stabbed him and then ran away.
The knife believed to be the one that was used to kill Brooks was recovered by police.
Borger was charged with murder Sunday morning after being questioned by police.
Police say Brooks and Borger knew each other, but details of a motive were not immediately released.
The incident remains under investigation.
