Man Arrested For Easter Sunday Homicide
FELTON, Del. (CBS)--The Delaware State Police have arrested 48-year-old John Hart, of Felton, after an Easter Sunday death investigation was ruled a homicide.
Police responded to 8730 Centerbury Road early Sunday morning on March 31, 2013 after a call was placed by a female resident saying her daughter's boyfriend was unconscious outside of the home.
The victim, 30-year-old Michael A. Mosley, was found dead at the scene.
After initial autopsy results were inconclusive, additional tests revealed Mosley's death was a homicide with the cause being asphyxia.
It was determined that Hart and Mosley had started drinking heavily Saturday night into Sunday morning while they were out in a detached garage working on a vehicle.
When the two got involved in a physical altercation, Hart allegedly held Mosley down on the ground placing his face into the dirt until he was no longer able to fight back.
Hart was picked up by the Kent County Governor's Task Force Tuesday evening and was formally charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide and committed to SCI in lieu of $7,500.00 cash bond.
